This conference was an official event celebrating the International polar Year (IPY). Contributors are members and associates of the International Polar Heritage Committee who gave presentations on a variety of subjects related to their own areas of expertise. The publication has been compiled and edited by IPHC President Susan Barr and Secretary General Paul Chaplin. Consisting of 96 pages this is the second such publcation to be produced by the IPHC.
