IPHC Publications

Because the IPHC is not a trading organisation, and we need to minimise bank charges for currency conversions, we must charge for books in Norwegian Kroner unless special arrangements are made.  Payments in NOK can be easily made by transfers to our bank.

The cost per book is NOK. 100. plus packing and postage. Discounts are available for multiple copies.

A compilation of presentations made to the IPHC conference held in Punta Arenas, Chile in April 2010.  Contributors are members and associates of the International Polar Heritage Committee who provide articles on a variety of subjects related to their own areas of expertise. The publication is compiled and edited by IPHC President Susan Barr and Secretary General Paul Chaplin.

Consisting of 100 pages this is the third of a series produced by the IPHC.  It is published in full colour and includes a large number of spectacular photos.

“HISTORICAL POLAR BASES - PRESERVATION AND MANAGEMENT”
Publication number XVIII in the ICOMOS series “Monuments and Sites".
A compilation of 13 presentations made to the IPHC conference held in Barrow, Alaska in September 2007.  This conference was an official event celebrating the International polar Year (IPY). Contributors are members and associates of the International Polar Heritage Committee who gave presentations on a variety of subjects related to their own areas of expertise.

Consisting of 96 pages this is the second such publcation to be produced by the IPHC.  It is published in full colour and includes a large number of spectacular photos.

“CULTURAL HERITAGE PROTECTION IN THE ARCTIC AND ANTARCTIC REGIONS”
Publication number VIII in the ICOMOS series “Monuments and Sites".
A compilation of 14 separate commentaries that present many of the unique issues associated with heritage protection in polar regions.  Contributors are all members of the International Polar Heritage Committee who have written on a variety of subjects related to their own areas of expertise. The publication has been compiled and edited by IPHC President Susan Barr and Secretary General Paul Chaplin.

Consisting of 80 pages this is the first in the ICOMOS series to be published in full colour and includes a large number of spectacular photos.
